Nerves

I don't like the first day of classes... it's impossible not to be nervous. :-(

Especially when you have a full house (there are 12 of us right now) and you've skied all day with them the day before and haven't had time to prepare the schedule so you can give your students the syllabus. And instead of working on the schedules I'm here blogging to help calm me down (hahahahaha...).

Anyway, I'm sure it'll go well, but it's still tough no matter how long I've been teaching.

I started teaching again this week, too, and I was feeling like I didn't get as much done ahead of time as I wanted (as I always do!). But then as it got closer and closer to when the students would walk through the door, I got more and more excited. It was a fun affirmation that I'm really doing what I should be doing!
